Hello! I’m Rat With Wings. I’m a creative person, cat guardian, and lover of all things cute living in Seattle, Washington. I live with two cats, Abby and Leila, a dog, Mac, and a roommate, Joe.
I have always been a crafty person, but I didn’t start knitting until the fall of 2004 after visiting a local yarn shop (LYS) in my neighborhood. My dad at the time thought it was just a phase and that I couldn’t even finish a simple scarf, so naturally, I had to prove him wrong. Not only did I finish that scarf (aptly named “Damnit”), but I haven’t stopped knitting since. 🙂
I knit my first toys in 2006, and fell in love with the process. Watching them slowly come to life with every stitch felt like I was making new little friends. I learned how to crochet the next year, and soon I was always making new little friends and gifting them to my own friends and family!
Some other crafts I enjoy include origami, duct tape, jewelry making, and Perler beads. When I’m not crafting, I can be found taking photos, training for charity walks, or sleeping (a lot).
